Friday Happy Hour: Awanhee Hotel

I’m on vacation!  And the views are spectacular.  We are “roughing it” at The Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite Park.  Completed in 1927, this 4 star diamond hotel successfully blends the design styles of Art Deco, Native American, Middle Eastern and the Arts & Crafts Movements.  And to protect the hotel from fire, the wood-like exterior is actually concrete, lured into rough-hewn wooden forms and stained to look like redwood. Rooms and food are incredible.  This place is truly an attraction in itself.
