On the Job with C: Blue Gingham

There is something I just love about gingham.  It seems so Americana.  While working through my inspiration for taking a bedroom from boy to teen, I thought some blue checks might be the just the perfect pattern to introduce.  I adore how it jells with a dark brown or camel fabrics. And these Serena & Lily sheets might work just perfectly in the scheme as well….

Paint Ponder: Stem Green

With kids heading back to school, it might be a good time to for a kids makeover.  A fun color to try?  Benjamin Moore’s Stem Green 2029-40.  It works great in a bedroom, playroom or even a bath.  Fresh, fun and clean.  Where are you going to try it?

On the Job with C: Neutral Blues in Boys Bedroom

We are busy working on a boys bedroom.  He’s turning into a teenager and needs to be freed of the kid stage.  My client had a desire for neutral shades with the hint of some color.  We worked up several fabrics in browns and greys, introduced a new built-in with Woodcraft Unlimited and reworked the furniture for an updated look.  Here’s a sneak peek:

Portfolio Peek: A boy and his frogs

The little boy was growing up and asked for a big boy room with a home for his frogs.  There needed to be three cages, each with proper lighting for the day and the night.  A desk was requested for future homework and of course, a bed that didn’t look too “little boy”.
