On the Job with C: Aerin Lighting

As we were about to step foot into Taylor’s on Ten, I reminded my client that she might be taken away by the lighting that looked so very close to jewelry.  A few minutes later, Aerin Lauder’s lighting line had her at hello.  Lauder, having recently completed a house in Aspen and a new book release, has now brought her style to chandeliers, table lamps and sconces.  The options will take your breath away.  Here’s a look at some of my favorites….

On the Job with C: Bevolo

As our Long Cove project moves forward, we switched our attention back to accessories.  Time for lighting!  And nothing is better than Bevolo when it comes to classic, New Orleans style fixtures.  Started in the French Quarter in 1945, the company revolutionized the production of gas lamps creating the first original French Quarter Lamp.  We chose not only several great sizes in the French Quarter style, but also selected a amazing chandelier and even a French Threshing Board art piece.  Here’s a sneak peek…..

Friday Happy Hour: Wheat

Happy Friday everyone!  A few days ago,  I spotted some amazing wheat sconces in an antique store.  I wish I had remembered where I had seen them because now of course, I want them.  I dream about them.  And suddenly, I’m seeing wheat popping up everywhere.  Here’s some inspiration to validate.

So what do you think of the new wheat trend?  Thumbs up?  Thumbs down?  Off to keep searching…
