Friday Happy Hour: Mrs. Howard’s Room by Room

I love design books.  They make for some great inspiration and let’s not forget how stunning they can look on a coffee table.  I have lots of favorites: Barbara Barry’s Around Beauty, Annie Kelley’s Rooms to Inspire, Aerin Lauder’s Beauty at Home and Jan Showers Glamorous Rooms and the list goes on.  What I’m really looking forward to Phoebe Howard‘s book, Mrs. Howard, Room by Room (available by pre-release by Amazon here or B&N here) that features her classic style.  Here’s a peek….

On the Job with C: Inspiring Books for 2015

Every year around this time, I take a break and look for inspiration for the new year.  One of the most relaxing ways for me to do this is to purchase a few new releases that help me look at my world in a new way.  Plus, they make amazing coffee tables books…that is if I can remember where I placed them when I need to reference them later.  Here are four that I can’t wait to view….

{1} I love the architectural details in this photo and can’t wait to see this book by Jean-Louis Deniot Interiors  {2} I crave classical architecture and this book is perfect.  Inspired by Tradition captures Atlanta architect Norman Davenport Askin’s work. {3} Designer Erin Gates released her first book called Elements of Style…ready. {4} Fashion Designer Tory Burch featured in AD here in her office is now on the NY Times Bestseller list with Tory Burch In Color.
