Kelly Wearstler is always spot on with her designs. While she tends to really mix it up with bright colors and a modern look, she’s a master with the neutral colors and a more traditional slant too. I love AD’s design file segment on some of warmer rooms she has done. Take a look….
Summer is here and clients are starting to pay attention to their flowers and plants. Last year, we had a huge mosquito problem here in Dallas causing many of my clients to reconsider the “real thing”. I’ve always loved the design aesthetic of Kelly Wearstler. She has an inventive style resulting in bold and eccentric interiors that look and feel like no other. Although she’s still a top interior designer, Kelly has been launching new lines of fabric, rugs, home goods, clothing and most recently, jewelry. Check our her latest debut at Charm & Chain.
Who doesn’t love sites like 1st dibs and vandm.com? One, admittedly me, can spend hours window shopping for some of the greatest finds ever. Over the last year or so, 1st dibs has broadened my experience with articles. I especially love the column “Shop Talk” which highlights some of the upcoming new stores and their artist/designer owners.
Here are some savvy ones who recently caught my attention:
Jonathan Adler, a top interior designer who recently selected some of his favorite things from the site, said this, “I actually hate 1stdibs. It’s taken my life away. I’m unable to get any work done because I spend all day glued to my computer, perusing 1stdibs.” Enough said. I couldn’t agree more.
