Paint Ponder: Clay Beige

How about Clay Beige OC-11 by Benjamin Moore?  States Atlanta designer, Mandy Lowry, “This is my go-to whenever a neutral, but not boring, background is needed. It’s a chameleon color. It has the amazing ability to read either warm or cool and never fails to make its surroundings elegant in any light.”

Paint Ponder: White Sand

A neutral that is calming and settles you down instantly?  Try Benjamin Moore’s 964 White Sand.  It’s the perfect off-white that works beautifully with white trim.  Warm and as BM put it “much like the dunes alone the shoreline”.

Paint Ponder: Carrington Beige

Benjamin Moore’s historical color HC-93, Carrington Beige, brings a sense calm just by looking at the swatch.  It doesn’t scream, it doesn’t demand. It’s elegant, warm and brings peace to the world.  If you are looking to add some restfulness to your home, this is it.  Take a look….

Paint Ponder: Winter Wheat

Sometimes its refreshing to just have a hint of color on the walls.  Which one?  Consider Benjamin Moore’s 232 Winter Wheat.  It works amazing with white trim and lets the rest of your items do the talking.  While it’s considered a beige, it has a slight yellow undertone.  Feels warm but not overwhelming…

Paint Ponder: Clunch

“After we bought the place we were flying up from Florida to Atlanta, and as we came through the clouds I said, ‘This is what I want to wake up to every morning, a feeling of lightness and airiness, like we’re floating on a meringue.’ Polished woods and shots of gold — the gilt of a picture frame, the dull brass of a chandelier — warm the palette up and bring it to life.” , stated Phoebe Howard on her light and airy office painted in Farrow & Ball Clunch No. 2009.  I can’t agree more.  It might just be the perfect neutral.

Paint Ponder: Anjou Pear

Anjou Pear SW 6381 by Sherwin Williams is one of those colors you could try just about anywhere.  It works great as a neutral gold wall color, looks nice in a bathroom and does wonders on the exterior.  Think neutral with a pop.  Safe but with some personality.  What do you think?

Paint Ponder: Bennington Gray

While the ceiling is usually the last thing you deal with color wise, take a look at this. For an ethereal update, Suzanne Kasler painted every surface in the room (using Benjamin Moore’s Linen White on the walls and trim and Bennington Gray on the ceiling). “What you get is this great tonal feel,” Suzanne explains. “The eye keeps moving around the room, so the ceiling looks taller and the space seems larger.  Nice!

Paint Ponder: Wool Skein

I love this color on cabinets!  Sherwin Williams Wool Skein SW 6148.   I used it on my boys bathroom cabinets and it would look amazing in the kitchen.  It’s also a great neutral for a wall color and let’s not forget the exterior. This one is paired with SW Rock Bottom 7082 on the window panes. Love.
