Portfolio Peek: Hawks Wood Sitting Room

“Just pickup the first room you did for me and put it in here,” my client told me.  And so we did.  The sitting room, the very first project I had done, was successfully transferred to the new house.  With the exception of the former couch and coffee table, everything fit perfectly.  We designed a new custom Kravet sofa that worked beautifully with the scheme. And it and came with a bed for those extra guests…

First three photos are of the new room, the last photo shows the previous home.  Photos by Carla Moss.

Portfolio Peek: Hawks Wood Library

One of the rooms on my client’s wish list was a library.  They had treasured their time in the Canyon Ranch sitting room so we started there for inspiration.  We utilized the clients existing leather sofas, brought in rich fabrics, added a Ralph Lauren plaid ottoman, beautiful rocking chairs from Kravet and soft lighting – and let’s not forget the velvet curtains that draped so beautifully. Grab me a book.

Portfolio Peek: Hawks Wood Kitchen

My clients wanted a white kitchen with durable marble.  Those two words often don’t go hand in hand, see post.  So we requested Cambria countertops, installed a beautiful a warm gray backsplash and highlighted the area with some Savoy Penrose pendants that fit the bill perfectly.  The client’s existing corner cabinet was joined with a new farm table and Pottery Barn Wynn Chairs in the eating area.  The butler area got a kick of Ann Sacks metallic bronze subway..and before you knew it, we had the kitchen….

Portfolio Peek: Hawks Wood Living Room

While most of the design of our client’s rooms consisted of new and old pieces, our transitional living room was created from the ground up.  With a request for “blue and white” (see our inspiration) and some great pieces from Kravet, we designed a living space with plenty of seating for guests.  Not to mention a couch for each when watching movies at home.  We also loved how the monograms complimented our slipper chairs.  Not only are they the initials of our clients, but also serve as “right” and “left” too…

Portfolio Peek: Hawks Wood Entry

Our Hawks Wood clients requested some specials things from their old homes to be incorporated in their new abode.  While our clients make the perfect couple, they both have very different styles.  One is a bit more modern, while the other favors traditional furnishings.  We worked patiently to merge the two, all while selecting some transitional new favorites too.   This Steinway grand piano was happily located to the fab new entrance, along with a few new modern pieces to showcase it.

Portfolio Peek: Hawks Wood New Build

We finally have time to breathe and post a few photos of our new build in Hawks Wood.  It’s a beautiful home set on a large lush lot, with trees and a mack daddy pool.  Here are some photos of the exterior:

We love the clapboard ceiling and the cedar floor on the porch.  The stucco is a custom gray and the shutters are Sherwin Williams SW 6258 Tricorn Black.  Photos by my photographer Michael Hunter.

Portfolio Peek: University Park Master Bath

We just wrapped up a beautiful master bath in University Park.  You might remember our progress posts here and here.  We love the mosaic tile flooring, the fabulous carrara marble countertops and the classic standalone tub.  Here’s a peek at our work….
