Friday Happy Hour: Butler Pantry

Want some inspiration?  Check out this amazing butler pantry remodel in Veranda.  They converted some unused dining room space into a grand prep area.  I love this use of grays with the brushed gold accent hardware.  I’d be hard pressed not to love working in this space….

Paint Ponder: Cloud White

Whites are difficult.  They can go warm or cool.  They can have grey undertone, pink undertones or yellow undertones.  Settling on one can be challenging.  However, while I was catching up on my design magazine reading time, I came across a wonderful room by designer Richard Hallberg in Veranda’s Jan/Feb issue.  Benjamin Moore’s Cloud White OC-130 was stunning against his neutral color story.

Here is Hallberg’s room and a few few others who wear it well:

Cloud White works great with 1624 Westcott Navy and 1626 Gentle Gray or 1439 Yukon Sky and 1485 Brushed Aluminum.  What do you think?

Friday Happy Hour: Dining at the Round Table

In most dining rooms, you will often find a rectangular dining table.  It often is extendable with several leaves to slide in for seating options.  With younger families trending away from the formal, “unusable” dining space, many having taken to smaller rooms with round tables.  I especially love them because they often help create a softer look and allow for easy conversation.

Here are some of the round table dining rooms I love:

On the Job with C: Settee

I’m on the hunt for a settee for an entry.  Something with a curve to fit nicely near a staircase…similar to the first photo below.    It’s proving to be more difficult than I thought.  Curve + Small + Custom Fabric is not an easy to find combination.  Any ideas?

Here are my initial top three so far:
